Where are you located?
We are at 5 Millak-ro 19beon-gil, Suyeong-gu, Busan (1F–2F). You can walk to us from Exit 1 of Gwangan Station (Busan Metro Line 2). We are near Gwangalli Beach and Millak-dong.
How much does it cost?
The Baektang · Hongtang Bansang, four courses, is ₩35,000 per person. Each guest orders one course, so for two guests it comes to about ₩70,000 per table. Add-ons include Eogyo-sundae with Minueo-jeon (₩30,000), Sejong Daewang Eoju (₩23,000) and Muhwagwa Dongdongju, a fig rice wine (₩10,000).
How do I make a reservation?
International guests can send a request through the International reservation form on this website, and we will confirm via WhatsApp. Requests in Korean, with name, phone, date, time and number of guests, are confirmed by phone within 30 minutes. Reservations by phone: +82 507-1313-0565.
What is in the course?
Four courses follow the four characters 是議全書. 一 Omija tea and dried pollack floss; 二 abalone buckwheat noodles (Jeonbok-chaegyomyeon); 三 a five-dish bansang (rice, Baektang or Hongtang, Mungchi-gui, ilgwa with dried persimmon gochujang, soft tofu with herring roe, soybean paste with vegetables, and hwajeol kimchi); 四 sujeonggwa sorbet and Naju pear gwapyeon.
What is the difference between Baektang and Hongtang?
Baektang is a rich broth of beef and pork bones, simmered long in an iron cauldron. Hongtang is the same broth with a gentle spicy kick, and it is not very hot. Choose one when you order the bansang.
What is Eogyo-sundae?
It is a dish recorded in Siuijeonseo as "魚膠 어교슌대." It is a sundae made from the swim bladder of wild brown croaker (minueo), and one fish yields just four pieces. Wild brown croaker is hard to come by, so we serve it in limited quantities, and few places serve it.
Is there parking?
We have no parking lot of our own. Please use the Bada public parking lot (9-1 Millak-ro 6beon-gil), a 1–2 minute walk.
What are your hours, and when are you closed?
Open daily 11:00–21:30 · Break 16:00–17:00 · Last order 20:30 · Closed on Seollal and Chuseok (Lunar New Year's Day and Korean Thanksgiving Day).
Can I get help in other languages?
The menu shows English names alongside the Korean, and reservations for international guests are confirmed via WhatsApp. English pages are available now; Chinese and Japanese pages are being prepared.
Can you host groups or special occasions?
We have group seating on the first floor. For nine or more guests, or for occasions such as a family meeting before a wedding or a birthday, please note it in the requests field of your reservation, and our staff will go over it with you when they confirm. High chairs are available.
What kind of book is Siuijeonseo?
It is a cookbook from the late Joseon dynasty, about 200 years ago, recording the food and table settings of yangban (noble) households. It is also known as the book in which bibimbap was first recorded, under the name "bubimbap." Siuijeonseo Gwangan sets today's table based on this record.
Is there a benefit for reserving on this website?
Yes. Guests who reserve on this website receive a secret upgrade: a fifth course, Samgye-mieum, served after the abalone buckwheat noodles, at the same price of ₩35,000 per person.
